Cayman’s national carnival, Batabano, kicks off April 27th meaning there are just a few weeks left! The carnival celebrates Cayman’s colourful culture and heritage and is considered the event of the year. The name, Batabano, refers to the tracks left by turtles—a beloved part of Cayman!
Festivities begin with the J’ouvert parade on April 27th followed by the signature event Le Masque Ball on May 2nd. The weekend will be full of parades, street parties, and food festivals that visitors won’t want to miss. And for families, Junior Batabano and Family Fun day is on May 11th.
