Premier Panton Unveils Reopening Plan

Cayman Covid Reopening

At the Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Premier Wayne Panton outlined the Cayman Islands reopening plan.

The plan is segmented in five stages (please see table above), with the fourth stage having the most impact on travelers.  In phase four, travelers will be welcomed back to the Cayman Islands without heavy restrictions on October 14. Vaccinated travelers will need to declare their vaccination status, however, will not be required to quarantine if they are verified. Unvaccinated travelers will be required to quarantine for 14 days, and unverified vaccinated travelers will be required to quarantine for 10 days.

The anticipated return of tourism in the Cayman Islands is set to commence this fall based on the Chief Medical Officer’s approval and the Cayman Islands government.
