The Cayman Islands Constitution Day is approaching quickly and we’re gearing up for the festivities. Similar to Canada Day and July 4th, our Constitution Day celebrates the first constitution adopted in 1959 when the islands became a self-administered territory and women gained suffrage.
Constitution Day is celebrated the first Monday of July, which this year happens to be July 2nd. Camana Bay will have activities all day long including live music, food stands, games, face painting, and more. A firework show at 8pm concludes the festivities.
Of course, Constitution Day can also be celebrated from the comfort of your beach lounger if that’s more your speed. What could be a better way to celebrate our islands than by enjoying the spectacular surroundings? Perhaps you’ll even spot a firework right from our beach.
